About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Facilities Coordinator / Administrative Assistant to join our team at a professional office environment in Troy, MI. This is a high-visibility, highly administrative role that blends front desk support, facilities coordination, and security oversight during evening hours. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, organization, and smooth operation of the office while serving as a welcoming point of contact for employees, executives, and visitors.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in an administrative, facilities, or security guard role
  • Strong computer skills, including monitoring systems and writing reports
  • Comfort using Google Workspace (Google Meet, Google Sheets, Google Calendar)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact confidently with guests and leadership
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds periodically
  • Drug Test Required
  • BG Check Required

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Security Guard
  • Previous experience working for a security company

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the security of people and property within the building
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct regular building walk-throughs
  • Implement and support building security protocols
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency facility issues
  • Provide backup support for the Facility Technician
  • Complete hourly and daily reports documenting security and facility checks
  • Greet and check in guests and vendors when covering the front desk
  • Communicate professionally with employees at all levels, including C-suite executives
  • Coordinate conference room setups (water, soda, snacks, seating arrangements, lunches, etc.)
  • Track office supply levels and submit orders as needed
  • Assist with booking business travel on occasion
  • Oversee janitorial services — conducting daily walkthroughs to ensure work is completed properly
  • Work closely with other administrative staff to support meetings and office needs
