This position is primarily responsible for overseeing front desk operations and providing administrative support for the recreation building. Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 2 Yrs experience in the same or similar capacity
  • Computer literate a must (Word , Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, obtain clearance from the Office of Children and Family Services, OASAS and be drug free.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (Can be obtained after employment)
  • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Recreation Building leadership, including visitor reception, rental processing, recreation scheduling, filing, attendance tracking, and reporting requirements for NYC Parks and program funders.
  • Greet, sign in, and direct visitors; verify identification when necessary and enforce facility rules, safety procedures, and agency compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, Food Pantry staff, and volunteers to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the facility.
  • Monitor facility safety and security through building checks, surveillance systems, and oversight of access and egress points; assist with emergency evacuations and incident response procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain incident reports, fire safety logs, surveillance documentation, attendance records, and other operational reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC Parks, agency, OASAS, and facility regulations related to safety, operations, and visitor management.
