About The Position

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is crucial for providing excellent customer service, supporting daily front office operations, and ensuring a positive patient experience while facilitating clinic flow and access to care. Sea Mar is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, dedicated to providing comprehensive health, human, housing, educational, and cultural services to diverse communities, with a specialization in serving Latinos in Washington State. They serve all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation, or ability to pay. Sea Mar operates over 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics, along with various nutritional, social, and educational services. This position is within a fast-paced clinic environment with frequent patient interaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and basic office equipment

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical or dental front office experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments
• Register patients and accurately enter demographic information
• Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
• Assist patients with forms, services, and referrals to community resources
• Support back-office staff to help address clinical quality measure gaps
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and patient waiting areas
