About The Position

Georgia State University College of Law is seeking a full-time temporary receptionist to provide general office support. This position serves as the primary point of contact for deans, faculty, and administrative staff, managing a multi-line telephone system, greeting visitors, and handling mail and package distribution. The role is crucial for maintaining general security by controlling visitor access and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the College of Law.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of receptionist or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the initial point of contact for faculty and administrative staff and manages the multi-line telephone system.
  • Grants access to permitted visitors for special area parking.
  • Receives and routes certified mail packages and other materials for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Coordinates and maintains tracking system for pick-up and delivery of express mail packages.
  • Sorts mail and delivers packages.
  • Organizes and keeps supplies stocked for copy rooms and kitchens.
  • Distributes monthly departmental telephone statements.
  • Maintains general security by following departmental procedures and controlling visitor access.
  • May be required to arrive early or remain late for special events.
