About The Position

The ADA Forsyth Faculty Associates Dental Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our clinical team. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience. This position will support daily front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out, scheduling, collecting copayments and other payments, maintaining patient information, and assisting with general administrative needs. The position will also provide administrative support related to our transition to Epic, including assisting with importing and organizing patient documents and records.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a dental, medical, healthcare, or other patient-facing office environment preferred.
  • Prior dental front desk experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling patient payments and basic financial transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and technology.
  • Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient service.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
  • Check patients in and out for appointments.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments and assist with appointment changes.
  • Collect copayments and other patient payments and provide appropriate documentation.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to or appropriately route patient inquiries.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and contact information.
  • Assist with patient forms, records, and other front desk documentation.
  • Support the transition to Epic by importing, organizing, and maintaining patient documents and records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow applicable HIPAA and privacy requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dentists, clinical staff, patients, and families to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Assist with other administrative and front desk responsibilities as needed.
