About The Position

The Front Desk Receptionist Float is the first impression of Mountain View Pain Center and plays a critical role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient patient experience. This role supports clinic operations by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, coordinating care, and ensuring clear communication across departments, where ever they are needed. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for patients—both in person and over the phone—while maintaining accurate records, handling insurance information, and supporting smooth daily clinic operations. Floating Front Desk Receptionists must be flexible with their location assignments and maintain the highest standards of customer service across all clinics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a medical receptionist in a fast paced environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience with medical scheduling
  • Strong customer service skills and patient-first mindset
  • Proficient computer and typing skills
  • Access to reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using clinic software systems
  • Answer incoming calls and provide accurate, timely information to patients and callers
  • Make outbound calls to reschedule appointments and meet minimum call attempt expectations
  • Coordinate appointment transitions for patients with multiple same-day visits
  • Facilitate Uber transportation for Personal Injury (PI) patients when needed
  • Collect and verify insurance information and process payments as required
  • Scan, upload, and maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with clinical and administrative teams
  • Notify medical staff of patient arrivals and support patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front reception area
  • Support general administrative tasks as assigned
