Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Education: High School or Equivalent (Required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and Infinite Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Be present at the front desk; greet and assist all visitors warmly and positively
  • Maintain awareness of administrative calendars to greet and direct visitors accordingly
  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
  • Follow sign-in and sign-out policies and processes for visitors, students, and staff
  • Direct all general phone inquiries to the appropriate staff
  • Retrieve copies as needed
  • Monitor security cameras
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Student Handbook, office referral procedures, and day-to-day operations
  • Monitor the attendance phone line and update attendance status in Infinite Campus
  • Facilitate check in for students who arrive late and leave early; record in Infinite Campus
  • Ensure all teachers take attendance in a timely manner; follow up accordingly
  • Notice patterns and trends in student attendance, completing Behavior Incident Reports as necessary
  • Monitor Health Room supply needs
  • Share in duties associated with the care for minor student health concerns, notify parents of health problems, and administer medications and first aid under delegation of school nurse consultant
  • Generate student accident reports and log them under direct supervision
  • Perform all assigned emergency response tasks
  • Promote and maintain a positive and effective school culture by ensuring that all interactions with staff, students, parents, and the public at large are prompt, efficient, helpful, and friendly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Communicate information to staff, students, parents through various means, i.e. writing, public announcement systems, radio, etc.
  • May process incoming mail, distributes mail and other correspondence to staff.
  • May perform various functions relating to students, such as locker assignments, emergency cards, record keeping, attendance, health room, etc.
  • May direct the work of student assistants and/or volunteers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Respond to telephone calls, routes calls, take messages, greet visitors and various contractors, and assist staff, parents and community with concerns and questions.
  • Perform various clerical tasks to provide assistance to teachers and other staff.
