Administrative duties will include providing the highest level of customer service, greeting and scheduling patients, answering phone calls, as well as handling various other administrative tasks. Requirements

  • Must be comfortable handling upset or frustrated patients.
  • Must enjoy sales or feel comfortable asking for payment.
  • Must genuinely enjoy helping others.
  • Must be comfortable talking on the phone or communicating with people throughout the day.
  • Must not prefer a slow-paced and quiet work environment.
  • Must not prefer working in a cubicle with minimal human interaction.
  • Must not be bothered by loud noises or a busy, active environment.
  • Must not frequently feel that life or work is unfair and struggle to maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Must be committed to staying in the position for at least two years.
  • Must enjoy taking initiative or leading when needed.
  • Must not find data entry and administrative tasks boring or repetitive.
  • Must be comfortable using computers and learning new technology.
  • Must have the ability to type efficiently and accurately.
  • Must have read the job posting completely and be willing to complete all application steps.
  • Must have strong phone skills and can answer at least 80% of incoming calls while returning voicemail messages within two hours or less.
  • Must be comfortable entering numbers into spreadsheets and analyzing graphs and data.
  • Must be able to use data to identify problems, develop strategies, and improve departmental performance.
  • Must be able to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Check in and Check out patients.
  • Collect money for patient responsibility portion.
  • Coordinate with providers.
  • Communication with billing and Authorization department to understand patient's responsibility.
  • Answer and handle phone calls.
  • Return voicemails.
  • Enter data in spreadsheet for KPIs.
  • Keeping front desk organized and clean.
  • Scan documents.
  • Applying payments.
  • Prepare for next day.
  • Checking faxes and responding them accordingly.
  • Scheduling patients for future visits.
  • Attend team meetings.
  • Active in problem-solving for the department.
  • Reconciling data on daily bases.
