Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting and at least 1 year of practice supervision and personnel management in a similar medical clinic environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record management systems.
  • Experience in medical billing, benefit verification, and authorization.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Clerical skills of typing, filing, phone reception, and scheduling.
  • Management skills of organization, interpersonal communication skills, mediation and negotiation, and independent decision-making.
  • Active knowledge of and participation in community.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements front office team goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization
  • Directs and evaluates front desk team operations, including information technologies, complaint management, and answering billing questions, to achieve performance and quality control objectives
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and team professional growth and development initiatives
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits
  • Lead and manager the activities of the front desk operations at GVH to include planning, supervising, organizing, controlling and evaluating front office staff
  • Will be responsible to recruit, hire and train new staff
  • Will evaluate and optimize staff performance, one-on-one's, and support day to day operations
  • Schedules and oversees front office staff
  • Update office procedures: keep office procedures fresh and efficient, seek staff input regarding decisions that impact their work, work with rehab director to implement improvements as necessary.
  • Take accountability for internal and external customer service and service excellence, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and proactively seeking process improvement.
