About The Position

A-Better Heat & Air Conditioning is seeking a professional and organised Front Desk Officer to join our team. For over 40 years, our certified technicians have provided exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions, and we are looking for an individual who can be the welcoming first point of contact for our valued clients. As the face of our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front office. This is a Full-Time position based at our locations in Ohio and Illinois, United States.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Front Desk Officer, Receptionist, or in a similar administrative role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A professional appearance and a welcoming, positive demeanour.
• The ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• High school diploma

Nice To Haves

• additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
• Schedule and manage appointments for our technicians with precision and efficiency.
• Respond to customer enquiries via email and phone, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
• Coordinate with the technical team to support scheduling and customer communication.
