About The Position

Onix Hospitality, with over 20 years of experience, owns and manages eight award-winning hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida. We operate over 1,000 hotel rooms and serve more than half a million customers annually. We are currently looking for a Front Desk Manager to join our team. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of One (1) year Hotel Front-Desk Supervisory Experience.
  • Experience handling cash, accounting procedures and general administrative tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone.
  • Ensures that all associates are adhering to all hotel policies, standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Performs in all front office functions.
  • Has total responsibility for hiring, training and development of all associates working for the front office.
  • May be responsible for the breakfast area at some locations.
  • Assists the general manager in all areas to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensures that front desk operations are working in a professional manner at all times.
  • Responsible for the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of all front office and pantry areas.
  • Ensures that all procedures and policies are in place and followed and initiates additional tasks to improve existing procedures and guest satisfaction.
  • Conducts audits and controls on a regular basis.
  • Communicates with accounting in case of any irregularities.
  • Coaches and counsels associates whenever appropriate.
  • Strictly follows bank-out procedures and cash handling procedures.
  • Deals with any guest requests and problems and satisfies their needs within acceptable guidelines.
  • Ensures that all VIP guests and repeat guests are identified, recognized, pre-blocked and special treatment is brought to the room.
  • Knows all frequent customers and is familiar with their special requests and ensures that their needs are met.
  • Determines weekly schedule, adjusts according to business demands.
  • Is familiar with cultural differences and knows correct behavior for each culture, as well as different protocols and etiquette.
