About The Position

Front Desk Manager oversees front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing staff and administrative functions.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; additional training in hospitality management or customer service is beneficial.
  • At least two years of experience in the hospitality industry, including supervisory roles, is often required.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations software is essential.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • The ability to multitask and manage a team effectively is also important.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival, assist with check-in and check-out procedures, and address any guest inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train front desk staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Manage the hotel’s reservation system, ensuring accuracy in bookings and room availability. Update group booking information as necessary.
  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including cash handling, credit policies, and nightly audits. Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure that guest rooms and public areas meet hotel standards.
  • Prepare operational reports for senior management on occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction metrics.
