About The Position

The Front Desk Manager at Silver Mountain Lodge is responsible for overseeing all front office personnel and ensuring the proper completion of all front desk duties. This role involves assisting guests with issues such as bill disputes, guest concerns, and general inquiries, while also coordinating requests with housekeeping and maintenance departments. The manager will work closely with supervisors in these departments, requiring good communication skills. Additionally, the position involves training and motivating front desk employees, coordinating front desk activities, and covering shifts as needed. A key responsibility is ensuring the front desk staff maintains accurate cash and bag counts at all times. This role acts as an assistant to the main Front Desk Manager, performing assigned duties and other tasks as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Helping guests with bill disputes, guest issues, and answering general questions.
  • Coordinating housekeeping requests and communicating with maintenance departments.
  • Directly supervising all front office personnel and ensuring adherence to Lodge rules and guidelines.
  • Assisting in training and motivating front desk employees.
  • Coordinating the activities of the front desk and covering shifts when needed.
  • Ensuring front desk staff has appropriate change and accurate bags at all times.
  • Acting as an assistant to the Front Desk Manager and performing requested duties.
  • Ordering front desk supplies.
  • Providing one-on-one customer service training with staff.
  • Keeping front desk staff updated on new packages, events, and incoming groups.
  • Conducting daily 7-minute meetings with staff to discuss issues and improvements.
  • Being available to answer employee questions on assigned days.
