About The Position

Interim Healthcare is looking for caring individuals to join their growing team as a Front Desk Check In/HUC team member in a clinic setting. This role is integral to the patient experience, from scheduling appointments to greeting patients. The position offers great experience and career advancement opportunities in leading healthcare facilities in the Twin Cities. The pay rate is $30.74 to $32.86 per hour, depending on experience. The hours are full-time, with shift times varying between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm. Weekend availability is needed for coverage, with schedules known two weeks in advance. The role requires willingness to work in Burnsville, St. Louis Park, and potentially other locations.

Requirements

  • Medical Admin in a clinical setting
  • High School Diploma
  • Good phone etiquette
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attendance and punctuality!
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a HUC in a hospital setting is preferred
  • Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support many different departments including inpatient/outpatient
  • Assisting patients when they arrive for their appointment
  • Answering phone promptly
  • Patient registration
  • Accepting insurance co-pays
  • Assisting with appointments, and referrals to specialty clinics
  • Insurance and demographic information updates
  • Administrative duties as needed
  • Care Tech responsibilities including bringing patients to the restroom, wheelchair assists for the PT, room turnover, infection prevention, etc.
