About The Position

The Front Desk Greeter is responsible for projecting a positive, welcoming image to members, visitors, and vendors. This role involves greeting and welcoming each person with a smile, offering direction, signing members into Better Lobby, and ensuring security protocols are followed. The Greeter also aids in creating a positive and high-energy environment, maintaining lobby cleanliness, and performing various administrative and clerical duties. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including Saturdays, and the ability to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed. The role also supports the management team with communications and updates marketing materials. Additional duties include handling popcorn days, managing supplies, receiving packages, potentially training new greeters, and assisting the team with daily responsibilities such as opening/closing procedures, balancing the coin machine, and vault operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
  • Welcoming and helpful demeanor.
  • Must possess professional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.
  • Must be able and willing to work 40 hours per week plus overtime, as needed.
  • Must be able to work the rotating opening, closing and Saturday schedule, as needed.
  • Willing to assist the team at other branch locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Project a positive, welcoming image to members, visitors, and vendors.
  • Greet and welcome each member, visitor, and vendor with a smile.
  • Kindly offer direction to the appropriate area and/or team member.
  • Sign members into Better Lobby and offer an estimated wait time, if applicable.
  • Ensure member’s sunglasses and hats are removed for security reasons, prior to entering the branch.
  • Check in on the member when time permits and offer water and or coffee.
  • Aid in creating a positive and high energy environment for the branch.
  • Maintain awareness of the lobby and branch surroundings.
  • Perform various administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Work 40 hours per week plus overtime, as needed.
  • Work the rotating opening, closing and Saturday schedule, as needed.
  • Work with the Management team to send out important reminders, daily productivity, and other useful information to the team.
  • Update Marketing material throughout the branch, as needed.
  • Handle Credit Union popcorn days as assigned including operating the machine, handing out popcorn, maintaining supplies and cleaning the machine.
  • Maintain the branch lobby clean, clear of clutter and presentable for all visitors.
  • Fill check stand supplies and Marketing material as needed throughout the branch.
  • Receive and distribute packages and/or deliveries as needed.
  • May assist in training new greeters as needed.
  • Assist the team with daily responsibilities as needed, included but not limited to: Following opening and closing procedures.
  • Daily balancing of the coin machine.
  • May assist with daily opening and closing of SDB vault as well as completing an inventory audit.
  • Willing to assist the team at other branch locations, if needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Complete annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance with Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards of performance.
