About The Position

Prestige Medical Group is seeking a versatile and dependable Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant to support our growing, multi-site healthcare organization. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working both at the front desk and in a clinical support capacity, depending on patient volume and site needs. We currently operate five (5) locations across Jasper, Canton, Roswell, Woodstock, and Rome, including both adult primary care and pediatric services, along with med spa offerings. Our organization includes 28 medical providers (MDs, NPs, and PAs) and continues to expand, with additional providers and locations planned through 2026 and 2027. This position will primarily be based in our Rome office. The selected candidate will be required to travel to Jasper and/or Canton for initial training and onboarding. During the training period, the candidate should expect to spend time working across multiple locations to gain full exposure to workflows, systems, and team operations. Following completion of training, the role will be primarily based in Rome, with occasional travel to other locations as needed to support operational needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of front office experience required (healthcare setting preferred)
  • EMR/EHR experience required (Epic preferred)
  • Strong computer and documentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Willingness to travel between locations for training

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with insurance verification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Patient check-in and check-out in accordance with office protocols
  • Processing patient registration and intake documentation
  • Updating patient demographics and records
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits at time of service
  • Collecting copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
  • Managing incoming calls and coordinating with clinical staff
  • Scanning and processing medical records
  • Coordinating referrals and outside facility scheduling
  • Supporting new patient intake and tracking
  • Managing in-house medication sales and PDRX reporting
  • Rooming patients and preparing them for provider visits
  • Recording vital signs and updating patient histories
  • Assisting providers with examinations and procedures
  • Preparing exam rooms and maintaining clinical supplies
  • Administering injections or medications as permitted by certification and scope
  • Performing basic lab procedures or specimen collection (if applicable)
  • Ensuring proper documentation within the EMR system
  • Supporting patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
