About The Position

The Front Desk Clerk will assist guests upon arrival to the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel and throughout their stay. Confidently working closely with hotel teams, housekeeping, guest services and call center as well as all other casino teams when required.

Requirements

  • Coeur d’Alene Tribal gaming license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • At least six-months previous cashiering experience required.
  • Computer skills/knowledge required; keyboarding is a heavy portion of position.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be adept at multi-tasking.
  • Must be skilled at following broad policies with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of previous related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word operations preferred.
  • The ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes preferred.
  • The ability to search for solutions in differing situations; the ability to develop solutions in ambiguous and complex situations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.
  • Clerks are responsible for making reservations, as well as checking guests in and out of hotel, making room assignments based on requests and availability.
  • Process payments which includes cash, credit card payments and other in house forms, processing payments accurately and being accountable for daily till and paperwork.
  • Provide excellent tribal hospitality and customer service while following CCRH and inter departmental policies and procedures.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel including obtaining full payment for their rooms.
  • Assist guests with making hotel reservations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of proprietary company information and correspondence report.
  • Maintain knowledge of rates, promotions, location, and amenities of all rooms.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all transactions and ending bank are accurate.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the front desk area.
  • Document all guest requests and concerns, then communicate information to responsible personnel for proper handling.
  • Deliver additional guest supplies as needed.
  • Address all guest concerns and defer to higher levels as required.
  • Attend all meetings, trainings, and workshops as required by the Hotel Manager.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
