Under the direction of the Site supervisor, the Front Desk staff is responsible for the overall day-to-day administrative responsibility of a licensed child care/day camp facility. This role involves maintaining welcome areas to YMCA standards, ensuring a single point of entry for safety, collecting payments, and updating all staff and children's files to comply with BASCC and DCF requirements. The position also includes distributing nutritious snacks, coordinating with facility personnel, reporting any signs of abuse, and maintaining professional courtesy with parents, staff, and clients. The Front Desk Attendant must embody YMCA character values, follow emergency procedures, preserve the quality of supplies and equipment, and conduct regular inspections of program areas for cleanliness and safety. Administrative duties include documenting necessary forms, attending staff meetings and training, and reporting incidents and accidents. Adherence to Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting requirements and maintaining proper staff-to-child ratios are crucial. The role is primarily hands-on, with a significant focus on executing association protocols, customer service, and administrative duties.
