About The Position
The Front Desk Associate supports the mission of The Museum of Flight through a variety of customer focused tasks such as greet and direct visitors, answer and triage phone calls, and assists in maintaining the reception and related areas of the Museum’s Main Campus. It is paramount this person represents The Museum of Flight, its Values, Vision, and Mission, with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer service or receptionist role.
- Additional experience in answering a multi-line phone is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of office reception functions, office equipment, and phone and reception etiquette.
- Proven customer service skill with effective and efficient interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 including Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other meeting platforms, including Zoom.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully adapt to changing situations and shifting priorities; prioritize competing tasks in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and properly handle sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Answer and triage incoming phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
- Actively work to be informed regarding current Museum activities, events, pricing, website, staffing, and organization information.
- Greet visitors, secure identification when necessary, and determine whom they wish to see.
- Announce visitors and direct them to the proper area when authorized.
- Communicate and coordinate with executive administrative staff regarding the needs and logistics of onsite functions with trustees, board members, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Perform various administrative support tasks that can be done while in the reception area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
