About The Position

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Inn & Suites Slippery Rock is seeking experienced and motivated Full & Part-Time Front Desk Associates. As the first point of contact, Front Desk Associates provide a warm, knowledgeable, and helpful first impression to guests, ensuring they feel confident in their choice to stay. The role involves efficiently checking guests in and out and ensuring all their needs are met for a great stay. While hospitality experience is preferred, on-the-job training will be provided for those serious about a long-term career in the industry. The company fosters a stable, collaborative environment for personal and professional development, aiming to provide exceptional guest service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods
Stay calm under pressure and adapt to quickly changing hotel and customer needs
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
Exceptional customer service skills in person and over the phone
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision

Hospitality experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Greet guests upon hotel entry
Provide check-in & check-out service
Answer phones
Handle cash and credit card transactions
Provide shift reports to ensure seamless communication among hotel staff
Maintain a professional, clean, and high-quality service environment
Accommodate special requests whenever possible and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
Other duties as required
