About The Position

The Front Desk Assistant acts as the first point of contact for customers and visitors, managing incoming calls and providing a welcoming experience. This role is crucial in upholding the company's mission to meet customer expectations through dedicated employees. The position is part of the Human Resources department and is classified as Non-Exempt.

Requirements

  • Customer service driven and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer use, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook e-mail and calendars.
  • Ability to interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Understanding of customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years receptionist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.
  • Receives incoming phone calls.
  • Welcomes, registers, and directs visitors as needed.
  • Checks visitors in and out during off hours using the Easy Lobby software.
  • Issues temporary security cards, enters and deactivates security cards, and monitors card access system.
  • Maintains a log for temporary security cards that are issued.
  • Monitors office deliveries by signing off on packages and notifying employees.
  • Checks in and instructs employees picking up employee purchases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
