About The Position

John Knox Village of Florida is seeking a warm, welcoming, and service‑oriented Front Desk Ambassador to be the face of our customer‑centric community. This role offers a unique opportunity to interact daily with residents, families, and guests-ensuring they feel valued, supported, and truly at home. John Knox Village is a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Retirement Community offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care to more than 1,000 residents. Our scenic 70‑acre campus in Pompano Beach is conveniently located near major highways and transportation options. As a Front Desk Ambassador, you will create a positive first impression from the moment someone enters our community. You will answer phones promptly and professionally, sort mail with accuracy, manage deliveries, and assist residents and guests with a friendly, solutions‑focused approach. Your role is essential in fostering trust, building relationships, and enhancing the overall experience within our vibrant community. This is more than a front desk position-it is an opportunity to make meaningful connections and contribute to a high‑performance environment where residents feel supported and cared for.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a warm, welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Strong multitasking skills to manage calls, mail, and deliveries efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing information
  • Friendly, positive attitude that fosters trust and engagement
  • Adaptability and problem‑solving skills in a dynamic environment
  • Subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, families, and guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously
  • Sort and distribute mail with accuracy
  • Manage deliveries and ensure smooth handling of incoming items
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all community members
  • Assist with inquiries and help resolve issues with empathy and efficiency

  • Perform other duties as assigned
