About The Position
Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking an outgoing, polished, and service-driven Front Desk Agent to join our Front Office team. More than simply checking guests in and out, our Front Desk Agents help shape the entire guest experience — welcoming guests, anticipating needs, solving problems, making thoughtful recommendations, and finding creative ways to make each stay memorable. The ideal candidate is comfortable connecting with people from all backgrounds, thinks quickly on their feet, and takes genuine ownership of the guest experience. Whether recovering a service issue, helping a guest plan their evening, arranging a special amenity, or recognizing an important celebration, this person understands that luxury hospitality lives in the details. This is a full-time, onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an upscale, luxury, boutique, or full-service hotel or resort strongly preferred
- Previous Front Desk Agent, Guest Service Agent, or comparable guest-facing hospitality experience preferred
- Naturally outgoing and comfortable engaging with a wide variety of guests
- Passion for hospitality and creating personalized, memorable experiences
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in the moment
- Confident handling guest concerns and service recovery with empathy and professionalism
- Resourceful, attentive, and able to recognize opportunities to go beyond the expected
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Dependable team player with the flexibility to support a dynamic Front Office operation
- Previous hotel property management system experience preferred
- Professional presentation and grooming consistent with an upscale hospitality environment
- Open availability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout Front Desk and guest areas for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, polished, and personalized arrival and departure experience for every guest
- Perform Front Desk responsibilities including guest check-in, check-out, room assignments, billing, and account assistance
- Build genuine connections with guests and confidently provide recommendations for hotel experiences, dining, entertainment, and Savannah attractions
- Respond quickly and thoughtfully to guest requests, questions, and concerns, taking ownership through resolution
- Handle common service recovery situations with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Anticipate opportunities to personalize stays, including celebrations, milestones, special occasions, and VIP experiences
- Coordinate amenities, reservations, special arrangements, and thoughtful touches that elevate the guest experience
- Think creatively and act resourcefully when guest needs fall outside the ordinary
- Communicate guest preferences, requests, and service opportunities clearly with Front Office leadership and other hotel departments
- Maintain strong knowledge of Hotel Bardo, its experiences and programming, and the surrounding Savannah community
- Support fellow team members and the broader Front Office operation wherever needed to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Consistently uphold Hotel Bardo's service, presentation, culture, and luxury hospitality standards
