About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries and complaints, and processing payments. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, accuracy in handling transactions, and a thorough understanding of hotel systems and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with guests and staff.
  • Complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often.
  • Knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each.
  • Working knowledge of reservations and procedures.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative.
  • Can do attitude!
  • Enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our Guests!

  • Hotel experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
  • Promptly, accurately and efficiently post all charges.
  • Handle guests issues and complaints with patience and find effective solutions.
  • Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly.
  • Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly.
  • Take same day reservations in approximately 2 minutes.
  • Follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.

Benefits
