Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic computer skills, willingness to learn
  • Must be able to read, communicate effectively and have superb interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
  • Must be able to work well independently and with others
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends & holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in Front desk position or the hospitality industry
  • Previous Marriott experience/Fosse experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional demeanor that is warm, friendly, helpful, hospitable, and knowledgeable
  • Welcome & engage the guests, create personalized stay experiences
  • Promote the hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques
  • Monitor daily room inventory and availability to optimize occupancy and rate
  • Guest registration at check-in & check-out
  • Provide excellent guest service by being proactive, responsive, and caring to drive guest satisfaction
  • Help guests discover Charlotte by providing shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Multitask with guest interactions, phone calls, email, chat portals, vendor interactions
  • Apply creative thinking, problem resolution, and service recovery as needed
  • Provide constant and consistent communication with other departments and supervisors/managers in order to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform financial transactions and reporting - Handle cash, credit cards, make adjustments, reconcile billing
  • Follow key control policy
  • Serve guest "We proudly Brew" Starbucks beverages
  • Support the Bistro during peak hours
  • Maintain clean and inviting lobby & the market
  • Attend daily smart start meetings and monthly team meetings
  • Drive shuttle within business park as needed
  • Execute all duties in compliance with brand standard
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support guest satisfaction
