About The Position

Shaner Hotels is hiring a Front Desk Agent at the 102-room Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, Pennsylvania. The resort is set on 1,500 wooded acres and offers guestrooms and suites, an outdoor heated pool, a fitness center, meeting and event spaces, a championship golf course, and on-site dining. The position provides guest services at the front desk, including welcoming visitors, handling arrivals and departures, processing payments, and sharing information in a friendly, professional manner.

The agent handles guest concerns, follows established hotel and payment procedures, prepares and distributes daily reports, and coordinates with Housekeeping to resolve room-status discrepancies. The schedule is flexible and includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they understand.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience.
• Computer experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient check-in and check-out service to hotel guests.
• Process guest payments according to established hotel requirements and follow payment, cash-handling, and credit policies and procedures.
• Provide information and services to guests and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Handle guest complaints and work to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments or personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on room-status reports in coordination with Housekeeping.
• Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
