About The Position

This role is the first touch point to the Menzies experience and plays a key role in the coordination of all customer service related activities. The agent promotes a professional image at all times and complies with company uniform standards. The role involves delivering superior customer service, dealing directly with any issues that may arise, and escalating to the appropriate company representative when needed. The agent will assist customers at the front counter, including pick-up and delivery requests, and coordinate all related courier activities. Processing all related paperwork with detail and accuracy, and ensuring all documentation is correct prior to releasing Cargo to customers are key responsibilities. The role also involves coordinating activities between the office and warehouse, ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies, and attending mandatory training. Safety is paramount, and the agent must practice all company’s Safety Policy, including wearing PPE when and where required. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Proficient verbal, reading, and writing skills in English.
  • Ability to use related software for job functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Current driver's license with no violations in the past 5 years.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 kgs when required.
  • Must pass and maintain all required security clearances and Transport Canada Background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior cargo or airline operational knowledge experience.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn how to work within an IT cargo system environment.
