Front Desk Agent

MarriottChicago, IL
Onsite

About The Position

As a Renaissance Front Desk Ambassador, you are one of the first ambassadors that a guest comes into contact with, creating a unique and personalized guest experience upon check-in through a friendly, authentic approach. The role requires tailoring interactions by reading guest cues to ensure they feel at home. Ambassadors are expected to be innovators, explorers, and relationship builders, identifying unique local details and providing intriguing information about the locale. A critical aspect is creating a smooth and easy experience for guests to maximize their stay. The Front Desk Ambassador will leverage their expertise and relationships across the hotel (housekeeping, parking, Navigator) to anticipate and fulfill guest needs. Passion for the locale and local offerings, along with an eye for detail in providing information, ensuring report accuracy, and processing secure transactions, is essential. Regardless of the position, critical success factors include maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, complying with quality assurance standards, and protecting company assets. The role involves being on your feet and moving around (standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods) and a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance). The ultimate goal of the Front Desk Ambassador is to deliver a best-in-class guest experience, inspiring guests and ambassadors to live life to discover. Renaissance Hotels aims to help guests experience the DNA of the neighborhoods they visit, appealing to those who seek to discover the unexpected, dive into new cultures, or make the most of their travels.
