About The Position

The Front Desk Agent (Agente de Recepción) welcomes our guests with a warm and friendly smile. Handles guest arrivals and departures in a courteous and efficient manner. Plays a key role in ensuring that all guest needs are met in a timely manner by interacting and communicating closely with other departments in the hotel. Continuously provides excellent customer service when making reservations and uses effective up-selling techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests with a warm and friendly smile.
• Handles guest arrivals and departures in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ensures that all guest needs are met in a timely manner by interacting and communicating closely with other departments in the hotel.
• Provides excellent customer service when making reservations and uses effective up-selling techniques.
• Maintains a house bank and conforms to established cash handling procedures.
• Processes guest billing using cash, checks, credit cards and special billing.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
