About The Position

Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Front Desk Agent to effectively check guests into and out of the resort. This role involves providing excellent customer service to guests, ensuring they have a memorable vacation experience. Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree GED.
• The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
• Follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room keys and provides escort instructions to bellhops.
• Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives telephone messages.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Maintains records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Computes bills, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
• Makes and confirms reservations.
• Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to the ledger.
• Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations and arranges tours.
• Assists guests with the deposit of valuables in the hotel safe or safe deposit boxes.
• Performs nightly bucket checks.
• Listens to guest concerns and identifies appropriate solutions.
