About The Position

Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity with State College's newest addition, State College TownePlace Suites by Marriott. This 89-room all Suite accommodations is located just minutes down the road from the State College Regional Airport, and the Nittany Valley Sports Centre. Each suite will feature fully equipped kitchens, modern workspaces, and comfortable living spaces. Located in the heart of Happy Valley, if you are looking to jump-start your hospitality career, Shaner Hotels is the place to be.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Nice To Haves

• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements; Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
