About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests in a friendly and courteous manner. This role involves answering inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and managing guest accounts. The agent will also be responsible for computing bills, collecting payments, and enforcing hotel credit policies, while accurately accounting for all cash and making deposits. A key aspect of this role is to proactively greet guests warmly and professionally address and resolve guest issues to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience required.
  • Ability to utilize hotel software systems effectively.
  • Friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, arcade, waterpark, shopping, dining, and local entertainment.
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts.
  • Compute bills, collect payments and make change for guests.
  • Understand and enforce the hotel company credit policies.
  • Account for all cash and make deposits in accordance with hotel and company policies.
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  • Professionally respond to guest issues and concerns effectively turning a negative guest experience into a positive recovery of those issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
