About The Position

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North - McCandless Crossing is looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent/Sales Coordinator to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. This position will also support our Sales efforts and is a perfect developmental position for those interested in Hotel Sales. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at McCandless Crossing is an award-winning member of the Marriott family of hotels operating in the bustling North Hills of Pittsburgh. Our location in McCandless Crossing places us near hospitals, universities, shopping, and other attractions. The hotel is managed by Pittsburgh based Prospera Hospitality, whose portfolio includes hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.

Requirements

• Previous Hotel or Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Previous Hotel Front Office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
• Manage online and phone reservations.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
• Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay).
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
• Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests.
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
• Assist Sales Manager and General Manager with duties as assigned.
• Respond to prospective client requests for information.
• Promptly reply to inquiries.
• Attend sales calls with clients.
• Draft contracts for future bookings.
