About The Position

We are seeking an ambitious, dependable, self-starting and customer service driven Front Desk Agent to join our team! The candidate must have flexible availability that includes working weekends and holidays. This is a Part Time Night Audit position, typically Tuesday - Thursday, 10 pm - 6 am, with the possibility of a 4th night. The primary function of this role is to provide sales and customer service related to guest registration, reservations, and revenue collections, ensuring guests have a safe and secure stay with friendly and attentive service. This position requires flexibility, as shifts will vary and the candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 2 to 3 years of Hotel Front Desk Experience.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift boxes, which average around 25-30 pounds each.

Responsibilities

  • Serve internal and external guests in a positive, professional manner.

  • Organize reservations for the day’s arrivals.
  • Check for duplicate reservations and determine special room requests.
  • Pre-block special request rooms.
  • Perform front desk functions including check-ins, checkouts, reservations, answering phones, providing wake-up calls, etc.
  • Check-in guests following credit policies.
  • Ensure guest problems are resolved and followed through in a timely manner.
  • Understand the operation of the property management system.
  • Provide information concerning hotels, facilities and functions, as well as their location.
  • Assist staff with property events when in need to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide security for guests by maintaining confidentiality of guest information.
  • Be familiar with property security and key control procedures, as well as fire safety procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by property management.
  • Process all reservation requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Process all guest registration and checkouts promptly.
  • Complete paperwork necessary for front desk operations (registration cards, folios, credit cards vouchers, cash reports, room reports, etc.).
  • Provide efficient switchboard services, including handling of messages, mail, wake-up calls, and other guest services.
  • Account for all receipts, paid outs, and charge funds as specified.
  • Audit and balance all cashiers reports and cash drawers.
  • Perform front office posting and filing procedures as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order to the front office areas.
  • Provide accurate information to housekeeping, such as house counts, room status, or guest service requirements.
  • Make sure service goals are being met.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time.
