About The Position
Jovie is an independently owned, community and purpose-driven organization, that provides caregivers with training, resources and support to develop their childcare skills and confidence on the job. Jovie families need your joy, your sense of fun and your childcare know-how. Jovie has helped thousands of parents find childcare with full or part-time nannies and sitters and emergency back up care. This is a part-time after-school sitter role for Fridays, starting in late September for the duration of the school year. The role involves crucial after-school transportation, so dependability is an absolute must. The child is high-functioning autistic and an elopement risk, so while prior experience with autism is a major plus, it is not strictly required. Most importantly, they want to find an engaging caregiver who truly loves interacting, playing, and connecting with children.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
- Must be willing to transport children as part of duties.
- Subject to a mandatory background check.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with autism is a major plus.
Responsibilities
- Transport children to and from after school activities.
- Keep a watchful eye to ensure children feel secure and well-protected.
- Prepare snacks as needed to keep everyone energized.
