About The Position

Jovie is an independently owned, community and purpose-driven organization that provides caregivers with training, resources, and support to develop their childcare skills and confidence on the job. Jovie families need your joy, your sense of fun, and your childcare know-how. Jovie has helped thousands of parents find childcare with full or part-time nannies and sitters and emergency back-up care. This specific role is for a Webster Groves family seeking a kind, patient, and consistent sitter for three days a week starting in late October for the entire school year. From October through December, the specific three days needed each week may vary, but starting in January, the schedule will lock into Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Exceptional communication skills are a must for this role to ensure children's needs are met. Additionally, the family is looking for someone who has the flexibility to transition to full days when the children are off from school or during the summer months.

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
Must be willing to transport children as part of duties.
Subject to a mandatory background check.
Exceptional communication skills are a must.
Flexibility to transition to full days when the children are off from school or during the summer months.

Responsibilities

Transport children to and from after school activities.
Keep a watchful eye to ensure children feel secure and well-protected.
Prepare snacks as needed to keep everyone energized.
Become an honorary member of the family by building deep, trusting relationships with parents and kids alike.
