About The Position

As a Meat Department Lead, you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. You will lead and inspire a team of associates in your Fresh area to execute the business plan and deliver exceptional member experiences. You will set clear goals, expectations, and standards for quality, production, and member service. You will advocate for the member, the associate, and the company—every day. You will partner with cross functional team leaders to deliver a seamless total club experience. You will maintain deep knowledge of fresh operations on the floor and in the backroom, including product specifications, seasonality, and production expectations. You will ensure your area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, equipment usage, production, food safety, sanitation, and compliance. You will train and upskill your team on processes, recipes/specs (as applicable), safe handling, and consistent execution. You will stay current on new products, processes, and tools—leveraging learning resources and training opportunities to drive continuous improvement. You will engage with members and build confidence in product selection through service, knowledge, and pride in quality. You will use digital tools and handheld technology to plan, forecast, and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. You will make real time business decisions related to production, training, quality, and inventory. You will champion adoption of new tools and encourage innovation within your team. You will drive business results while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and the members. You will plan for volume and profitability, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and readiness for daily production and service needs. You will own inventory, ordering, audits, and compliance standards while identifying shrink and preventing loss. You will ensure equipment and storage systems are in safe working order and operational needs are addressed to avoid disruption. You will produce, merchandise, and display product according to the merchandise layout plan, with consistency in standards and presentation. You will teach, train, and develop associates by identifying training needs and building the skills required to deliver high quality products and service. You will identify potential and desire in others and coach with consistency to strengthen performance and readiness. You will encourage career growth for team members and help source talent internally and externally to build a strong bench. You’ll thrive in this role by collaborating with managers, associates, members, and business partners to meet evolving business needs. You will use data and multiple sources of information to identify risks, track results, and drive improvement. Requirements

  • 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
