About The Position

Santa Monica Seafood, a family-owned company with over 80 years in the seafood business, is seeking experienced warehouse associates for their fresh room, dock, and freezer departments. The company's mission is to provide high-quality seafood products at fair prices while prioritizing conservation and environmental health. This role is crucial for achieving planned growth through excellent customer service.

Requirements

High energy and enthusiastic.
High school diploma or equivalent required
excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and communications skills required
ability to multitask and prioritize
ability to work individually and as a part of a team
must have a high level of accuracy and be detail oriented
mature, professional attitude
must have a consistent work history and excellent safety record.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in cold and wet environment.
Previous warehouse experience required
Ability to lift 75 lbs & 100 lbs required.
Ability to withstand cold & wet environment, with concrete floors.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Receiving and unloading of incoming product
Inspects fresh product returns and ensures proper handling.
Pulls and packs product based on daily orders.
Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
Operates various pieces of equipment (Bendi, Dolly Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Forklift)
Reports any mechanical problems.
Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Completes daily checklists.
Responsible for ensuring adherence to Federal and State safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
