About The Position

Eataly is seeking a Seasonal Fresh Pasta Sales Associate with expertise in products and processes at a minimum of two retail stations. This role involves sharing knowledge about products and ingredients with guests, recommending products and portion sizes, and assisting with daily operations of retail counters. The associate will ensure retail supplies are stocked and utilized properly, manage counter stocking and displays, and handle product slicing, weighing, labeling, selling, and packaging according to department standards. This position also involves managing inter-departmental transfers for accurate inventory and COGS, maintaining a consistent presence on the floor, and interacting with guests, employees, vendors, and visitors. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in food service
Strong knowledge of steps of service
Great communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Italian products
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination upon hire

Responsibilities

Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly
Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations
Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Provides a steady presence on the floor, constantly interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors
Performs other duties as required or assigned
