About The Position

As a Fresh Cut Produce Clerk, you will prepare fresh fruits and vegetables by slicing, dicing, and packaging produce. You will check produce for freshness, maintain clean and organized preparation areas, and create attractive displays. The role also involves assisting with inventory management, restocking, and customer service. It is active and fast-paced, and suited to someone who enjoys working with food, has a positive attitude, and contributes to a team-oriented environment.

This is an entry-level position with advancement opportunity. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Prior experience in grocery, food service, or produce preparation is preferred.
• Comfort using knives and other preparation tools safely and precisely.
• Ability to identify quality produce and follow food safety and handling guidelines.
• Friendly, helpful attitude and ability to assist customers and communicate clearly.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs., with or without accommodation.
• Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
