About The Position

Join our Festival Foods team as a Fresh Cut Produce Associate! In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring our guests have access to delicious, freshly cut fruit and veggie platters—perfect for daily life, a get-together or special occasion! Your ability to keep our fresh cut department stocked and ready, will keep our guests boomeranging back, knowing they can rely on us for their entertaining needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates.
  • Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
  • Ability to use equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
  • Ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
  • Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate stock levels in the fresh cut department by observing sales floor and cooler conditions, producing, stocking, and replenishing products as needed.
  • Execute the boomerang theory by delivering outstanding service to all guests. Assist guests with finding what they're looking for, and take the initiative to resolve guest concerns and ensure satisfaction, making things right when service or product issues arise.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by organizing and sanitizing work areas, shelving, and sales floors as needed.
  • Ensure all quality standards are met, including maintaining accurate food safety logs and meeting quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
