About The Position

The Patriot Power Generation Frequency Converter Maintenance Technician supports the Kuwait Air Defense Force (KADF) Patriot program. Participates in power frequency convertor improvement and repair on the KADF Patriot systems. Shall be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all generators to include installation, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), and operations. Will also coordinate with generators in the daily operations, repair, maintenance, PMCS, and generator fueling. Provides technical and engineering advice to the KADF Patriot program leadership. Participate in preventive maintenance operations at all maintenance levels. Performs troubleshooting, fault isolation and field maintenance repair for all frequency convertors for all systems. Functionally tests power frequency convertors after making repairs to assure compliance with design specifications and standards. Participates in the opening and closing of work orders and in on-the-job training (OJT). Implements approved engineering changes. Enforces approved KADF safety policies, procedures, and standards. Performs job related duties as specified by the user unit. This position is located in Kuwait.

Requirements

Graduate from technical school in electronics or manufacturer's course of instruction on power frequency convertors, or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT).
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of power frequency convertors.
Proficient in troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair of various types of power frequency convertors.
Skill in the use of engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, general purpose commercial test equipment and common tools is required.
Proficiency in the English language, spoken and written.
Requires current SECRET Clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
