About The Position

Fluor is seeking a Power Generation Manager I (Tier 2) in Kuwait. The role involves managing power generation operations and a team responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of power generator systems. The position requires executing the scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety, quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating resources, ensuring proper utilization of electronic work order systems, communicating project status, and establishing a strong safety culture. The manager must ensure subordinates are trained and adhere to quality standards. The role may also involve performing duties of subordinate personnel and providing data to Automated Information Systems (AIS).

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred.
  • six (6) years to nine (9) years related experience.
  • Requires the technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have a Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a structured training program in Power Generation equipment is preferred. Typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers, and some technical schools.
  • Journeyman certified by the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) preferred
  • Power Pro Technician Certification preferred
  • Prior military and/or contingency experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages Power Generation operations within assigned AOR.
  • Manages a team of personnel that maintains all aspects of power generator operation including troubleshooting, repair, installation and maintenance.
  • Executes assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules and cost control estimates.
  • Plans and coordinates supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Ensures proper utilization of electronic work order system, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements.
  • Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate.
  • Performs duties of subordinate personnel as required.
  • Establishes and maintains a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel adhere to company safety requirements at all times.
  • Ensures that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
  • May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide preventive maintenance and repair services by establishing monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual schedules for all prime power, diesel, gas generators, and light carts.
  • Maintain meticulous generator maintenance logs and material for required preventive maintenance and to provide continuity between rotations of military personnel.
  • Service Automatic transfer panels semi-annually and repair as needed.
