About The Position

The Language Center of L’Alliance New York is seeking passionate and qualified French as a Foreign Language (FLE) instructors with experience in private tutoring to join our dynamic teaching team. We are recruiting teachers for one-on-one classes with adult and child (ages 7-17) learners onsite at our Manhattan campus and offsite in students’ homes and offices. Private lessons offer students curriculums adapted to their personal learning objectives and progress, flexibility in scheduling, and closer connections with their teachers. While some students enroll short-term, many continue working with their teachers for months or even years. In addition to general French as a Foreign Language lessons, we offer customized private lessons in topics such as Business French, Legal French, French for Diplomacy, certificate exam preparation (DELF/DALF, TCF, TEF, AP French, etc.), literature, phonetics, and more, and we welcome applicants with specialties in any of these areas. Teaching assignments are in-person and scheduled during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Most private lessons follow a consistent weekly schedule, but teachers must be able to accommodate some flexibility in scheduling.
