About The Position

This role involves both outbound and inbound responsibilities within a commissary setting. For outbound duties, the focus is on ensuring the condition of loads to stores, proper loading, and minimizing trailer damages. For inbound duties, the responsibilities include accurate breakdown of freight, precise case counts on each pallet, and moving freight from the dock to assigned aisles.

Responsibilities

  • Enter trailers only on "green" dock lights.
  • Ensure trailers are clean before loading.
  • Check each pallet tag to ensure accurate pallets are shipped to each store.
  • When doubling a pallet on top of another, ensure the bottom pallet is flat and sturdy. Double pallets are not to be put at the end of a trailer. Do not triple pallets on a trailer.
  • Machine wrap all pallets from grocery aisles 41000 to 47000, all double pallets, and the last four pallets on the trailer.
  • Load schematics must include door number, store number, trailer number, and date.
  • Record the number of pallets hung over and pallet ID numbers. Record the total number of pallets for each store on the trailer. Sign schematics.
  • Indicate pallet ID numbers for pallets that are tossed on trailers.
  • Check the pallet recap report to ensure all pallets are on the trailer.
  • Turn in the schematic and report to the shipping office when the schematic is filled out.
  • Fill out trailer defect sheets to indicate any damages to trailers and safety-related repairs, including the trailer number, date, and time.
  • Accurately separate all product as to description and Ti x Hi as indicated on the receiving document.
  • Ensure product is in saleable condition and in undamaged/shippable cartons.
  • Verify quantities of each item to match the receiving document.
  • Complete all paperwork in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Place pallet tags on completed pallets.
  • Complete any receiving correction documents in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Label each pallet with the corresponding receiving label to ensure proper quantities and location.
  • Move freight from the dock area to assigned warehouse aisles.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
