About The Position

A Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including the necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. The role requires strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, as well as excellent communication skills to manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction. The position is based in Miami, Florida, and the schedule includes weekends and some holidays.

Requirements

• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred; freight forwarding experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments, including airline scheduling and movement of goods through transportation channels.
• Prepare and process customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates.
• Manage customer relationships, address concerns or issues, and support customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, and other internal departments to support timely and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
