About The Position

This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move merchandise, stocking and organizing inventory, and providing customer service. The role involves maintaining the sales floor, ensuring club pickup orders are filled accurately, and utilizing inventory tools. Associates are expected to work with integrity, serve customers, and strive for excellence by continuously improving and adapting to change. The position operates on an overnight shift from 9 PM to 5:30 AM in a freezer/cooler environment.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates forklift following Company standards and guidelines for picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
  • Manages inventory flow, follows company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures, including zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and monitoring for shrink, security risks, and safety.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy and procedures.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods safely and correctly.
  • Tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Reports poor inventory practices and low instock levels.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts safely and correctly.
  • Reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Notifies management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
  • Proactively identifies customers who need help and assists them with technology services and items.
  • Models and helps others with technology services.
  • Identifies and fixes shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked correctly.
  • Works as a team, builds strong relationships, and communicates with impact, energy, and positivity.
  • Helps, develops, and mentors others, recognizing contributions and accomplishments.
