About The Position

This position is responsible for managing inventory flow, operating a forklift, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will ensure merchandise is stocked, organized, and displayed according to company standards, while also maintaining a safe and clean work environment. They will also assist with customer orders and technology services.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates forklift safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
  • Manages inventory flow, follows company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent display of promotional items, processing defective merchandise, and monitoring for shrink, security risks, and safety.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy, ensuring associates pick orders within an acceptable timeframe, and performing occasional audits for accuracy.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways.
  • Tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Reports poor inventory practices and low instock levels in assigned areas.
  • Uses inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts in safe and correct ways.
  • Reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices in assigned areas.
  • Tells management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
  • Proactively identifies customers who need help and assists them with technology services and items.
  • Models and helps others with technology services.
  • Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and takes steps to fix them.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked in correct ways and promptly fixes any problems.
