About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of merchandise and supplies within the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves operating a forklift, stocking shelves, managing inventory, and assisting with customer orders. The associate will also contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, upholding company policies and values, and supporting team goals.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates forklift following Company standards and guidelines for picking, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
  • Manages inventory flow, follows company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation according to company policies, including zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy and procedures.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods safely and correctly.
  • Tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Reports poor inventory practices and low instock levels.
  • Uses inventory tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts safely and correctly.
  • Reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Proactively identifies customers who need help with technology services and items, and assists them.
  • Models and helps others with technology services.
  • Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and takes steps to fix them.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked correctly.
  • Works as a team, builds strong and trusting relationships, and communicates with impact, energy, and positivity.
  • Helps, develops, and mentors others, recognizing their contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
