About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate position is responsible for managing inventory flow, stocking merchandise, and providing customer service within the facility. This role involves operating a forklift, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring the efficient handling of goods from distribution centers and suppliers. The associate will also assist with club pickup orders and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operate a forklift safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies.
  • Manage inventory flow and utilize equipment appropriately.
  • Maintain working inventory exceptions, correct shelf capacities, and complete required paperwork.
  • Provide member service by acknowledging needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving issues.
  • Promote the company's products and services.
  • Maintain the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety sweeps and follow forklift spotting procedures.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to procedures.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation.
  • Stock and rotate merchandise, remove damaged goods, and set up product displays.
  • Monitor the area for shrink, security risks, and safety hazards.
  • Assist with picking and staging club pickup orders according to company policy.
  • Handle, move, and display goods in safe and correct ways.
  • Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Report poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts in safe and correct ways.
  • Report poor or unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Proactively identify customers who need help and assist them with technology services and items.
  • Model and help others with technology services.
  • Identify and fix shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Properly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked correctly.
